It occurs to me that this might be the first time I am sharing my musical sensibilities on the blog. La Vent du Norde (Wind from the North), a quebecoise quartet showed up on my iPod last night thanks to NPR. I don't speak French - indeed, those who do inform me that I don't even fake it well - but I know a good niggun (Yiddish for "ditty") when I hear one. Think folk, celtic, a cappella, jam band. Yum.
