Expecto Polizei

Turns out that simple meta-data might trap those-who-would-release-copies-of-Potter. Canon confirms that its cameras, like most others, save the Serial No. of the camera that took the photo in the resulting file's meta-data, much like Word or Windows itself will store information the user the created a file, when it was created, and when it was last accessed.

The message is purported to be "beware!" In reality, the message should be "use a meta-data scrubber" or go in an edit it yourself. Just select "file properties."
[ The photo? That was just irresistable. ]
