I was just sitting here thinking, "Hm. It's 4pm and I haven't seen anything worth blogging about." And, lo and behold, this fell out of the sky.
That is NOT a doctored photo. So begins every post about this story. It is, indeed, a $1.5-2M yacht slipping out of its slings and plummeting from 45 ft. above the waters of the harbor in Dubai into said waters.
You can read the whole saga here, and find out that the brown spec at the top right is, indeed, a crew member. 2 were on board when the boat fell, hit the bottom, and capsized, disgorging various necessaries. Luckily, neither were hurt.

wow - while I bet that was terrifying for the crew, I have a suspicion that there are lots of people who would pay to ride a boat falling into the ocean like that.
Perhaps that could be a new thrill-tourism item for the UAE...
